Oakmont Update

September 28, 2024
Oakmont Front

Hello families!

Parent conferences will begin on Monday, September 30th through Friday, October 4th. We will be on early dismissal at 1:00 pm for all students in grades 1st-6th. TK and K students will dismiss at their usual time (11:45 am). Goal-setting conferences are crucial as they foster a collaborative environment where everyone works together to support the student's academic and personal growth. These meetings help align expectations, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and empower students to take ownership of their learning journey.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • Sept 30-Oct. 4: 1:00 pm Dismissal and Parent Conferences

  • October 3: Picture Day

  • October 3: Dog Haus Fundraiser (8:00 am - 10:00 pm)

  • October 8: Equity for Oakmont Meeting Virtual (6:00-7:00 pm)

  • October 9: SSC Meeting Virtual (3:00-4:30 pm)

  • October 9: PFA Meeting In-Person Room 1(4:30-6:00 pm)

Interested in Volunteering

Please fill out the 24-25 Parent Volunteer Form, if you are interested in volunteering at Oakmont.

Nutrition

All students are able to receive a free lunch, snack and breakfast in our school cafeteria. Though an application is not required to qualify for these meals, an Alternate Income Form (AIF) is still an important form because it allows families to qualify for class and student resources such as band instrument usage, reduced or waived assessment fees and after-school enrichment options. You may have completed the AIF when you registered your student. If not, this link will take you to the AIF form. Submit completed meal applications to Gina Mattson via e-mail at gmattson@cusd.claremont.edu or in the school office. When e-mailing a completed application, please list your student's first and last name and “Meal Application” in the subject line. If you have any questions, please contact the Nutrition Services Department at (909) 398-0358.
