Hello families!

Family Sports Night was a huge success! Families, students, and staff came together for an evening filled with laughter, fun, and teamwork. From hockey to basketball games, everyone got in on the action, and the spirit of community was felt throughout the event. It was wonderful to see families enjoying time together while staying active. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this night a memorable one—we look forward to even more fun at future events!

Penny Wars was very intense, and the kids really strategized to come out on top! The excitement across campus throughout the week was palpable. Final totals are still being tallied and will be announced soon. Stay tuned!

Cheer and Tumble informational meeting will be on Thursday, September 26th at 4:30 pm in room 18. This meeting is not mandatory to attend. More information about sign-ups and the club will follow soon. See the flyer below!

Free Breakfast and Lunch

All students are able to receive a free lunch, snack and breakfast in our school cafeteria. Though an application is not required to qualify for these meals, an Alternate Income Form (AIF) is still an important form because it allows families to qualify for class and student resources such as band instrument usage, reduced or waived assessment fees and after-school enrichment options. You may have completed the AIF when you registered your student. If not, this link will take you to the AIF form. Submit completed meal applications to Gina Mattson via e-mail at gmattson@cusd.claremont.edu or in the school office. When e-mailing a completed application, please list your student's first and last name and “Meal Application” in the subject line. If you have any questions, please contact the Nutrition Services Department at (909) 398-0358.

LA County's Annual Design a Bookmark Contest

LA County Library’s 45th Annual Bookmark Contest is now open for entries. Students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 are invited to participate. Winning designs from each of the 4 age categories will be featured at their local LA County Library. Artists must be age 5-18 and reside in Los Angeles County. Entries must be submitted on an official entry form or facsimile. Entry forms and entries are due by October 5, 2024.

Meet CPD's Newest K-9

Claremont Police Department will be hosting a meet and greet with their new support services K-9, Pria. Corporal Chilson and Pria will be at 905 W. Foothill Blvd (unleashed) on October 22nd from 2pm-7pm.
