Dear Oakmont Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you well as we approach the final stretch before our spring break! It's hard to believe we're already at this point in the school year. Time certainly flies when we're having fun and learning together!
April is Neurodiversity Month! Our Equity for Oakmont committee has been working hard to bring this learning to our students, staff, and families. This week, we’re learning about ADHD, which stands for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. People with ADHD may have lots of energy, get distracted easily, or need extra reminders—but they are also creative, fun, and full of great ideas! Students will watch videos and do activities to learn more. Let’s celebrate the many ways our brains work!
Please update your calendars for the Taste of Oakmont! The date is still May 18th, but the time has changed. It will now take place from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Can't wait to see you there!
