Oakmont Update

February 1, 2025
Oakmont Front

Hello families,

With rain in the forecast next week, I want to thank you for your patience with our rainy day drop-off and pick-up. We have a lot of working parts on campus during this time to get your students on the way home as safely and quickly as possible. I know pick up takes a little bit longer, but our dismissal area gets muddy and our hill gets very slippery. Therefore, we can't have the students waiting in the front of the school. As a reminder, if we will be on rainy day pick-up, a message will be sent via text prior to the end of the school day. All students will be waiting in their classrooms during pickup time. If you are staying in your car, you will come through the pickup lane as usual, and we will call for you child. If you are exiting your vehicle (no parking in our pickup lane) or walking to pick your child, you will go to their classrooms after the bell rings to get your child. Thank you for keeping our kids safe!

Book Drive

Adriana, Equity for Oakmont Co-chair, just dropped off hundreds of books at Endless Fitness. The owner, Darlene, will be taking the books and a whole U-Haul full of items that have been donated to a school in Pasadena today for an event where families can come and get what they need. Whatever items will be left over will be taken to another school in Pasadena.

So grateful to get the support for this initiative and for all our community did to come together to support kiddo and their families affected by the fire.
