Hello families,
I want to start this newsletter by thanking our PFA for organizing and running such a wonderful Family Costume Ball! They worked on this for months, spending many hours in meetings, preparing, and setting up for a fantastic night of family, friends, dancing, and raffles. This also could not have happened without the support of the volunteers and donations from all of you. I really enjoyed seeing all the costumes and everyone enjoying themselves, and I'll continue to say this, thank you for making Oakmont the special place that it is.
Additionally, we had our first Bucket Filler Assembly of the year. It was so great to be able to recognize students for showing kindness, integrity, and responsibility. Additionally, we had a special visit from Citrus Community College's mascot, Hootie! We are looking forward to more visits from a neighboring owl and building connections with local colleges. Thank you for coming out, Hootie!
Our annual mask parade will take place on October 31st at 10:30 in the quad. Classrooms have been working on their masks and are excited to share them with the rest of the school. Families are invited to attend! Please note, that students are not to wear their Halloween costumes to school.
